Brief:
Through this project, I created an app design for an AR app. The full development process included ideas, strategy, and user testing. This was my first introduction to UI/UX which helped me learn how to utilize graphics and think of the usability first before seeing how they looked. The creation process required organized development of the interface. It also included an empathy map, mood board, competitive analysis, information architecture, user testing, wireframing, and much more. For my app, I created Art Credible, which serves as an art scanner and detector. By providing this technology, users are given the accessibility for a more in-depth experience and connection when exploring museums.
Process:
Before the design process, I spent a lot of time developing the objectives, goals, and targets for my app. I was able to think about the problems I face in apps and elements I knew would be helpful to the user. With research and concept development, I was able to determine I wanted to create an educational and engaging tool app that users could actively use when visiting art museums or galleries. The app is intended to allow the user to scan, save, and collect artwork pieces within the app that they can revisit at any given time. In addition, to collecting artworks, the app adjusts to the user’s interests and suggests different art sources that they can look into. This intends to further the engagement with the art world and continue to find ways to make it accessible for many.
